I’m starting to think about my future and what to do when it’s time to start a family. To me, the ideal situation is a full WFH role, or even better, a part time role. I’m wondering if these roles actually exist. I don’t mind working for a less recognizable company as long as the culture is decent. I’m a full stack developer. Most interested in hearing your thoughts on part time possibilities :)
Yes, but worse job security
Nonsense
Remote workers are usually first to go in layoffs.
Amazon had some part time 30 hour/week dev teams. Probably not remote. Re family, don’t think you can work from home and be productive while caring for a baby/toddler.
Part time 30 hours a week? Lol, that's full time at a lot of companies!
Just means they don’t have to give you benefits
