Such a rebel. ;)

Wouldn't it make more sense to ask about rent after taxes?

Amazon Pokebowl OP Apr 19, 2018

Meh maybe I’ll make another poll later. I didn’t because I felt a decent number of people don’t know their income after taxes and that would cause bad/non responses. Lol.

Technically everyone falls in the "<100%" bracket.

Or are quickly bleeding savings

Amazon Pokebowl OP Apr 19, 2018

I was thinking in terms of SQL logic. Or too lazy to type ranges. One of those.

You are missing positive options. A lot of us make money from real estate.

Amazon Pokebowl OP Apr 19, 2018

You could pick 0% I guess.

VMware Bay2018 Apr 19, 2018

A lot of us save money on interest payment and property taxes and invest the savings. Don’t know why home owners think every renter is poor :)

Amazon Pokebowl OP Apr 18, 2018

I’m pretty surprised how many people are under 15% I would have thought that 25% would be the peak.

Reddit NkKy00 Apr 18, 2018

Not everyone is in the Bay Area :P

VMware Bay2018 Apr 18, 2018

Bay Area and rent is 8% of TC.

Taxes though

Amazon Pokebowl OP Apr 19, 2018

Interesting that there are more people at 10% than 25%. Where do y’all live? o_O

Compass FUPayMe Apr 19, 2018

Same area as you, they probably just make more than you.

Amazon Pokebowl OP Apr 19, 2018

You’re assuming I’m in the 25% bucket. :)

Zero..... following the Dave Ramsey plan.

Amazon Pokebowl OP Apr 19, 2018

What is his plan? Inquiring minds what to know.

His financial plan is a series of 7 baby steps that you follow to become debt free and build wealth. Helped keep me focused on one goal at a time. These are outlined in his book The Total Money Makeover, or taught in his class Financial Peace University which is taught in like 5000 places nationwide.
