Reporting manager to HR?

My managers made racist comments, spread rumors that I have PTSD and has told my teammates not to approve my work. I want to go to HR but I'm scared of retaliation.

Sounds like they are trying to manage you out or get you to quit. Filing a claim with HR may be a good option if you have proof of these claims.

ONLY do it if you have proof

100% what Shell said

What exactly did they do in more detail?

Google TljD52 Sep 4, 2019

To add, seems very likely you're not being honest here and want people to patronize you.

@TljD52 What makes you think that?

You’re getting managed out. Go find a new job

If they're actually making racist comments about you, you need to start documenting everything. Get recordings if you can. Talk to a lawyer BEFORE going to HR. And tell nobody.

I only have my teammates as witnesses and some subjective screenshots.

F5 Networks RRA Sep 4, 2019

What do you mean by "subjective"?

Sit down with your manager and discuss how you feel and what you have observed. Listen to their side and express how it demotivates you. If it doesn't improve just bail.

But make sure to have an objective 3rd party / colleague / witness present. And document the key points and summary of meeting afterward. send it to all participants.

Even if you don't have written/recorded documentation, you should go to HR. But, again, do it only and only if this is True.
