Republican, party of ‘Family Values’ , except when it comes to Divorce
Hypocricy much from right wingers who beat the drum of family values and end up divorcing ? California was the first U.S. state to pass a no-fault divorce law. Its law was signed by Governor Ronald Reagan, a divorced and remarried himself .. so much for family values !!

People feelings about other people change all the time. It shouldn’t result in losing half of everything one owns though

Just make divorce illegal. We could drop the divorce rate significantly if we do this, and we can match countries that have very high marriage success rates like Saudi Arabia and India.

They are hypocrites on a lot of things. Financial responsibility, family values, religious values, conservative spending etc.
Both sides are. That's why I encourage people to not vote based on party. Registered independent here.
Most people are centrists - statistically - and don't care about things that don't affect them personally. Everyone gets worked up when politicians tell them to get worked up. What's the context here?
