Currently, I'm working for my employer using CPT EAD work authorization because I'm taking special Master's courses in US. Due to limited length of my work authorization I'm aiming at job change to a company which can sponsor my green card. Some folks say it's better to get H1B before green card to settle until green card processing gets completed. On the other hand, I felt in doubt that H1B is lottery so if I go for H1B then I'm wasting time for nothing if by chance I'm not selected. There is a greater chance of taking another Masters in my University. So I'm considering job change for GC purpose and I'm getting promises of GC sponsorships. Any advices what are the steps involved in GC processing?
Special master courses? Are theae from universities which claim you will get OPT once you get masters from them so that you can extend your stay in US?
By special course I meant I'm already done with regular courses of my MSc study. Besides, the CPT that was about to expire got extended for a year as I got enrolled for additional special course.
That is exactly what I am talking about. Do you think the course helped you with anything other than extending your stay?
Your strategy would depend on your country of birth.
