Im thinking of lying to manager while resigning that I am leaving the job for some personal reasons cause i just joined 5 months back and dont want to disappoint or make him unhappy. I telling him that Im going to take leave for some long period of time so i am resigning.
For career, for pay( which is slight increase) from oracle to Amazon
How slight? If its under 15-20%, you're making a mistake imo.
Do us all a favor and let your manager know you’re leaving because they’re not paying a market rate.
Lying is never good. It's a small world and you never know who knows who. It might backfire. If you are unhappy just leave. Yuh don't need to explain to anyone. If you have a good relationship with your manager talk to him/her, otherwise just find another job and leave
Just be honest. Everyone is leaving Oracle, your manager won't be surprised.
I am in similar boat. I think I will just say I don't see myself adding value or something on those lines.
That's awesome line. I will use it next time
Lying is easy, But efforts to maintain that lie is very difficult. Just be on point and leave.
Just fucking quit who gives a fuck, fuck Oracle. They would fire you in a second if the tables were turned.
True this
A company that big wouldn't bat an eye to let people go in 5 months of employment. Just say what they would say... "it just wasn't the right fit" ...and feel comfortable moving on
Say it is just a business decision.
You font need to tell him or her any reason. But there is Microsoft cares and they might be able to help with your situation begore you actually resign.
Why are you really leaving?
