Resources for Newcomers

I have seen some people ask about what exchanges to use, so here are my recommendations: GDAX.com: this is Coinbase’s exchange and only has a few coins that you can trade between, but that is expected to change in 2018. This is best for trading fiat (USD, EUR, GBP) to crypto. Also, their USD storage account is FDIC insured. Binance: the best exchange for trading crypto for crypto (i.e. not trading between USD and crypto). They have nearly every coin you could want, great volume, and it’s easy to use. Plus they have been aggressively adding new coins. Binance Referral Link: binance.com/?ref=10068500 Bitfinex is another option if outside the US, but there are a lot of shady things going on with them. They have good volume, but they are best avoided. If you have to use them, I recommend withdrawing your coins as soon as possible. Bittrex is another that is ok. They problem I have with them is that they have been slow to adding many crypto coin pairs. They are no longer the best. Welcome to crypto! Good luck!

True. There do appear to be shady things going on. Updated post.
