I was recently referred to flexport by some people from top management but unfotunately ended up getting rejected before an interview because I was not a fit for the fall internship. I understand that this means either my resume is bad or I just don't have enough experience. I love them as a company and wanted to get my resume reviewed to better position myself for future opportunities with them.
P.S. I am on F1 visa.
However, overall it’s too long and not to the point. As in I have no idea what you are trying to be and what you are good at.
First: sit down and write down what is the ideal job you are looking for (not in your resume, but in a google doc or what works for you). Then scrub linkedin etc for similar job postings from companies you find reputable and save all the descriptions and requirements in your doc. That should give you some idea on what skills/interests/abilities/experiences they are looking for. Then, stalk some people that actually have said jobs at said companies. Note what they have in their profiles.
Now take your resume and ruthlessly edit it to highlight the things you found in other profiles and job postings. E.g. if you want to work on masheen learning, that should be the first thing i read on your resume, all the experiences you have relevant to that. I do not care about you being a part of cross channel marketing team at amazon (unless marketing is where you want to work at).
All of the experiences you have that are not exactly relevant can be summed up and tweaked to be made relevant.
Formatting: please left-justify the name of companies. I didn’t even see it first.
Nit: it’s not “amazon.com” it’s amazon.
Other nit: “leadership” anything on intern’s resumes rubs me the wrong way. You’re an infant, it’s not leadership, it’s extra curricular activities, be humble.
Once you do your proper research, feel free to DM me, i can help you word your resume better.
