Rewards on Business Travel

I travel frequently for my work. I am a big fan of providing feedback for the customer service, most of the times it is a good experience, occasionally its the bad one. On my recent trip, my experience with United was bad, they sent me a feedback email and I gave them a poor rating. Later I got a email that they will look into it. Standard reply. A few days later I got an apology email with a $400 gift certificate. As my trip was paid for by my company is it ok to keep it. Should I contact HR and ask ?

Keep it. They are paying YOU for your feedback on their services to YOU. Your company had no involvement in that.

I agree to this, but just wanted to say well done to your parents for raising an ethical guy👏

Keep it. The gift certificate addresses your grievance, not the company’s

Pay it forward and give it away to someone else who needs it

Do you keep airline reward points and status that you acquired because of your business travel? Answer to this is an answer to your question.
