Robinhood or Coinbase
Which company would you consider working at as an engineer?
I use both apps and have to say Robinhood is amazing. Their goal of getting you fee less trade is awesome. I know this doesn’t say much but I believe the company to be as good as their product. Coinbase on the other hand will be rolling in money right now with all the fees for crypto. Their app is never dependable during flash crash or market, insider trading accusations for bitcoin cash etc Just external observations.
So u think Robin will be able to scale during flash crashes? And also isn't free trades = still in search of a business model? What happens when VC $$ run out?
Not really. They have robinhood gold subscription service to give more benefits that free account doesn’t. Have you ever tried doing purchases , sales of stocks on E*TRADE app vs how easy it is robinhood ?
