How much should it cost in the Bay? They want to charge me $2500, and I'm getting a feeling that they're trying to rip me off big time. Only paid for the consultation so far.
You don’t have dental at Volvo?
I do, but there's a limit, and I'd rather go with a less expensive place if possible
Just the root canal or inclusive of crown?
Just the rc
Around $500 total for root canal plus crown after insurance.
Wow that's cheap
$500 for RCT. $700 for crown. After insurance. The actual cost was $2500-ish
I just did for $600- rc+ceramic crown. My company has a limit of $2000. Of course I capped it.
That's expensive. 1) make sure you're going in-network 2) ask the dentist or any other dentist for a "predetermination of benefits" with your insurance carrier. That will give you a better estimate with insurance. 3) call your dental insurance company and ask for recommendations where to go and pricing 4) use your EAP and have them do the research for you 5) if you can wait, and Volvo has a flexible spending account (FSA) enrollment for 1/1, make an election and use that money and get a pretax discount
Go to Mexico, Brazil, India instead for it.
Fly to anywhere else and do it cheaper. Dental in the US is nuts.
