You don’t like going out in nature trails or parks and doing it? Urban running is not my thing but Central Park is just perfect. Also, I listen to podcasts the whole 45 minutes. And I don’t have to Equinox $2,500 a year for a membership. Not trying to convince you, just sharing why I like it.
Back in college I used to run about 30 mpw for fun and with a run club. Distances would be anywhere from 3-12 miles depending on the mood (I didn’t follow any training programs or set plans), and pace was around 7-8 minutes/mile. These days I run at most 15 mpw at about a 9:30 pace. I got an ankle injury a few years than never fully healed despite countless PT sessions and 5 miles is the most I can run in a given session before my ankle feels totally wrecked.
