Not only this. Lots of jobs at my company has been outsourced to India in addition of having the whole company turn indian. That’s why we need Trump.

Now the amount of students doing datascience and number of research papers flourishing is way higher in India. So Indians or any one beware of any millennials coming in. If you are not competent enough you are out of game. And to your point mem_dude, there are no bad american engineers, only very good engineers who rocks in FAANG or old engineers who want very good wlb and runs out of race. So if you do not want ppl come in, all your jobs will go out of US and loose the race to china in AI and everything.
Outsourcing is done by your company. No body pointed the gun to take away the jobs. :)
There are probably more workers on OPT than H1b right now. That number will increase significantly after this bill. Rest assured, there are bean counters looking at excel spreadsheets everyday to see if high TC employees can be replaced. Anyone not directly impacting revenue will be replaced. That is capitalism. Stock prices will do very well and it will benefit me tremendously.
You can stay on OPT for 3 years max. And there are 5 times h1b backlogged people than opt workers. Search on the internet please...
If you get replaced by cheaper labor then you weren't adding enough value to the company. Make your value known, and they will pay you the big money. Also having worked with lots of h1-b they often are paid as much as their American counter part, and they cost more because of the fees and admin required by h1b
Lol. Adding value is highly subjective. Lots of people want to boost their careers by saving company money, the easy way is to replace high TC with low TC. Consequences of such action can be years away, meanwhile your career got a boost. Easy decision.
Indians are just cheaper. Lots of companies already failed outsourcing and working with them. I’d recommend Eastern Europe. Much more qualified candidates.
You the think the number of students from India is low? Even with current GC rules, I think maximum number of international students are from India. Universities here make a lot of money from international students.

How t f is it Indian bill. It doesn’t even mention any nationality. Will it benefit Indians ? Yes. But that’s only because they have 150+ years wait time. Do you think that’s fair?
People don’t want to think about what’s fair and what’s not. A person waiting in line for more than 20 years should go back because s/he’s Indian. Anyone else is welcome and will get it in 1-3 years. That’s not all racist or discriminatory!!!
