How much work do senior engineers dump on you?

It's not dumped on me. The guy's super incompetent. So I get a 'shit sandwich' usually. Stuff like: "You're the most experienced person on the team." etc He came from Amazon. Lol

You're probably dealing with an up-leveled L5 or maybe even L4 from one of the ops-focused dumpster fire orgs (who then went across the lake specifically to rest-and-vest; Microsoft isn't paying well enough to attract the better industry talent). I know the type, because I clean up after them here, too.

Identity bad change and developer who made it, revert change, send email to developer + CC team (be tactful), push revert to production, go back to bed. 5 minutes and no asswiping involved. Nobody likes having the quality of their work brought into question so again be tactful but it will force bad habits to change.

Learn to say no? Literally no one has ever asked me to clean up their mess. Who does that? Id immediately inform management. Kinda a sin in software, isnt it? Check in broken shit and not fix it yourself?
