So I interviewed with Amazon and they haven’t rejected nor hired. They say I’m not right for the team they interviewed me for and asked me to find other positions I might be interested in. Does anyone have any thoughts?

It means you passed the bar but the hiring team moved on or filled the spot. Find a SDE 1 job asap. Look into Alexa or aws. You can switch team later, don't get choosy now if you really want to get in
