To those who live in SF, how much do you pay for rent and what kind of apartment is it? Do you have roommates?

How close are you to the east cut/ Google's campus?

Those homeless guys in SF are Google L5's, unable to afford home there.

Lol, i mean ill still probably take it cause having google on your resume is cool. But, i hope NYC or Chicago, or at least MTV or Sunnyvale are going to be available.

If not I'll probably end up taking SF and internally transferring to a different location after a year

    • Good luck with team matching! If you end up going with SF you might like to live somewhere near Bart over near Berkeley. It’s probably a bit cheaper than SF itself and warmer too.

lol you guys are all overpaying out the butt.

I pay $1200 for my portion of a 1 bedroom apartment (that's functionally really a 2-bedroom with no living room - the living room is separated into its own room with its own closet). Total rent of the apartment is $2300. My friend lives in the other room, paying $1100.

I live in Tendernob (between Tenderloin and Nob Hill), walking distance to Google's campus - 37 minutes according to Google Maps. Or you can bus + walk for 27 minutes.

OP, the quality of housing and transit here is really terrible. And the cost of living is quite high for what we pay. Expect a step down in life quality when you move here.
