Wish there should be a government regulation to not to fire more than 50 employees in a given location. This way companies would be more planned in overall hiring and even more planned while firing. There should be some disciple!!!! Often such companies give high TC but that comes at the cost of higher volatility and higher chances of getting fired. Too bad!
Government regulation to not fire people? Are you joking me? The only thing the government needs to manage is you morons at GE.
Learn some basic economics bro.
1. Hire a bunch of experienced engineers and have them build your product. Pay them well. 2. Overhire inexperienced engineers and have the experienced engineers train them on how to operate the eng system. 3. Lay off the experienced engineers. Cost savings!
I agree. This is BS at one more level. It's not the fault of those engineers what's going on with Uber. Yet they become the ones to pay the price. While the execs/decision makers who caused this get golden parachutes. Inherently unfair.
It’s not unfair it’s called life. Get over it. You’re not entitled to shit.
@Cisco- take it easy! Looks like you gave an interview there and didn’t make it?
It’s called the WARN act
I can see how someone at GE would think this...
Reductions in force over a certain size do have legal guidelines
*hums Solidarity Forever quietly to themself*
why don't you try unionizing in GE

Amazon going to be impacted hard if this law passes. Look at those PIPs in Amazon.
There is a difference between PIP and Layoffs.
Yeah but companies can abuse pip and disguise layoffs it as PIP
