Does anybody have any experience with tech jobs salaries in Israel compared with US? It is a strong technology hub due to connections with defense industry.
5 years ago I got 250k NIS a year as a fresh graduate in a regular company. I think I got slightly lowballed, and that was about as much as I got offered at different locations in Europe. I think it is fair to compare it to strong EU economies.

There's salary tables sourcing companies do (may differ a bit between sourcing companies). they will give you a gauge on what you should expect according to your role+years of experience. Here's an example : https://www.nisha.co.il/%D7%98%D7%91%D7%9C%D7%90%D7%95%D7%AA-%D7%A9%D7%9B%D7%A8
Depending on experience, you should expect 80k-150k USD + stock. Tax is somewhat higher than in California.
location, location...Israel's main high tech hub is located in central Israel, dubbed silicon-wadi. there you'll find the highest salaries by far. in contrast, northern Israel offers lower salaries (but arguably a higher standard of living) check a northern based "calculator" at https://optimum-hr.co.il/%d7%9e%d7%97%d7%a9%d7%91%d7%95%d7%9f-%d7%a9%d7%9b%d7%a8-%d7%94%d7%99%d7%99%d7%98%d7%a7-%d7%91%d7%a6%d7%a4%d7%95%d7%9f/ (sorry about the percent encoding). a comprehensive resource for Israel's central district is given by jacob share at jobmob .
Currently the salaries are more aligned to the highest paying locations in EU (London and Zurich). FB and G pay more in Tel aviv than in London.
How is cost of living in Israel?
Don't come, worst taxes and cost of living, CEOs can be spotted in some old apartments🥲
Generally lower, use Europe as a comparison point.
