Salary adjusted based on location?

Do companies consider CoL and taxes when giving out offers? For the same job level what is the % difference in TC say in Seattle and Bay Area for a senior level software development job?

Amazon and Microsoft I know will adjust. FB and g it's the exact same for all USA offices.

Google adjusts for location. If you want to be able to buy a house you have to accept lower TC.

When I moved from seattle to Bay Area I got a bump of 9% based on CoL. this was at Microsoft
