If given a choice between Salary increment or Promotion what would you choose? For example salary increment maybe 10% and promotion would be for Sr Staff Engineer.

5 bucks and a job title will buy you a cup of coffee. Take the raise. As long as you know you're performing at the level, doesn't matter if your official title reflects it if you leave.
