I joined Salesforce recently but keep my Oracle Blind acct because that shit is entertaining. Impressed with Salesforce’s culture and people and general all-around thoughtfulness. Lots of cool work to do, with some great people. Leadership strikes me as sharp, and that was lacking at Oracle.
Assuming you are talking about the OCI team. They are getting a lot of support and investment from top management and every other team. They are being paid top market rate, great facilities (complete with a beer tap in the office). It's heavy on people poached from Amazon, so they brought along some of that culture.
There is some uncertainty about the prospect of Oracle's cloud effort, both inside and outside of the company. I think the team is suffering a bit from lack of vision and conflict of interest with the legacy on-prem business. Major pivots are likely.
If all of that sounds good to you, and you are not afraid of the risk, go to OCI.
Salesforce keeps growing, stock will continue to rise so RSUs will def be worth it. A lot of interesting acquisitions that give certain teams a startup vibe. Team I’m on I basically manage my own time as I see fit as along as I get the work done. Luckily I enjoy the product enough to want to build out in my spare time almost as a hobby.
