Can anyone shed light on how people manager/leadership titles align at Salesforce? Manager, Director, VP etc.

I see there are Director and Senior Director roles and it’s unclear what the differences are.

I’m looking at both engineering and design leadership positions and wanted to know what I should be aiming for.

Also, if possible, what’re the target compensation ranges with “base + bonus + RSU + sign on bonus”

I understand that I’m asking a lot, but any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Lots of title inflation in salesforce. I know l4s in Fanng that landed vp roles.

How can you aim for both engineering and design? Really curious. What was your background? Eng/Prod are somewhat common, never heard of Eng and design though.

I’ve led design teams and engineering teams in the past. I have a hybrid background. So I’ve been looking at design leadership positions and engineering leadership positions. However, my passion is for design though.

I assume he means Software Design, not UI or UX design.

I lead product design team currently and i have led engineering teams in the past. I have a hybrid background. So I’ve been looking at design leadership positions and engineering leadership positions. So I wanted to get a feel of what both sides are like at Salesforce.

+1 for lots of title inflation. But PM me if you’d like a referral!
