For salesforce onsite interview, can I use Python?

Used c++ last time, but the interviewer seemed no familiar with c++ that much.

I heard that salesforce mainly favorites Java for coding interview. Is it true?

Thanks!

You can use whichever language you would like to. Engineers evaluating your code usually look at the data model, object oriented design etc. Most people get rejected because of the bad design.
At Salesforce most of the engineers do code in java unless you join one of the acquisitions.

It depends on whom you ask. Salesforce has a good work life balance and you do get to work with a lot of smart people (there are many average/below average people as well). Only problem is that you donโ€™t get much equity or stock refresh. I was very excited to join the company and got to learn so much, but after 5 years I am kinda over it.

I really don't think Salesforce will pay you more than MS (can) pay (or I am pretty sure MS will be able to do a counter offer for Salesforce's one). That's true that MS refreshers are not the best (not like G or Fb), but it is still better than zero in Salesforce. At the same time MS is big, there are really a lot of great teams, great engineers. If you are not happy in your current team/group/org (for whatever reason), try to find a new one which you like. Not sure why it would make sense to go to Salesforce. Unless your reputation in MS is hardly damaged by many bad reviews and you just need to leave MS ASAP. If you are just looking for a better compensation, you need to go to G/Fb/etc.

as for picpicpic, nah I am just looking for a place to be a happy engineer:-)

unlike most folks around, I am looking to maximize happiness along my career path. Money is probably the third~fourth factor.

At Salesforce, they organize internal career fair every 4 months. You have full freedom to switch departments and nobody can stop you. Also for many teams, the charter keeps changing every 8-12 months. Due to those reasons, you donโ€™t easily get bored; thereโ€™s always something new to do.

Depends on the team etc, but C++ or Python should be ok. Some people choose C, it is OK too.
I'd recommend Python because it is less verbose but it is up to your level of comfort with the language.
