Recently got an offer from Salesforce: Non-engineering. Level 8. Base 170k. Bonus 15%. RSU 65K over 4 years. Base is ok. Is the stock kind of low?
I have asked more, waiting for them to get back to me. HR said for this level, base can only go up to 200K and RSU can't go over 65K
did you join salesforce? did they accept your $185 base. 70k RSU, 30K sign on ask?
Salesforce is usually 3 levels below Facebook so this sounds about right
We just hired salesforce VP as a senior manager (L7) for instance
Really a VP as a senior manager? Is there that much of a difference... what group from Salesforce to what group in Facebook?
Salesforce is very stingy with RSUs in general but 65k seems low even by those standards
It is pretty stingy. 70K RSU is maxrd for this level. Total comp not much more than my current comp. Really considering not taking it.
170K + 65K equity for L8 non-tech. I just hired an L4 non tech for 150K + 120K equity...
What role is it?
Depends on where you live. SF has 3 zones. I live in a baseline zone and SF or NYC would be highest zone with 20% in salary. L8 - sr manager 160k base and 15% bonus and 50k rsu
Senior manager? This offer seems kind of low compared to tech offers for the same level. Do you have completing offers? You will definitely get more RSUs if you ask. No sign on?
Yes. Senior Manager. Level 9 is already director level. I have negotiated to $185 base. 70k RSU. (seems like the RSU is really untouchable) and 30K sign-on.
Do you have competing offers?
