Salesforce offer negotiation
Just got a verbal offer from Salesforce San Francisco: Title: MTS Base: 156k RSU: 75k / 4 year Bonus: 10% YOE: 5.5 years So TC is about 190K. It looks like a low ball. I asked if I can get a title of SMTS, the recruiter told me SMTS required 7-10 YOE. Is that a lie? How should I negotiate? What should a reasonable TC like?
The offer I got is around 280K TC for SMTS with 4 yoe.
Yeah the 7-10 years SMTS thing is BS especially in Salesforce

Damn. Seems the recruiters always use the same trick by adjusting SMTS yoe requirement = 2 yoe + candidate's yoe
You should be at the SMTS level.
Guessing recruiter says what fits with the offer they are giving. In the interview rounds I've been in level is mainly determined on interview performance (a little influenced by previous experience)
