Surprised I haven’t seen anything on Blind about this - sounds like customer data was exposed?
Good time to buy Salesforce stock. I spose.
Weird that nobody is talking about it on Blind.
No one talking about it in the SFDC area on Blind until fairly recently as well.
There were threads, just were deleted.
What should we expect to be the fall out from this? What’s to blame? What’s lessons are being learned to not repeat this? If we are from other cloud companies how should we handle this news? This is an industry issue since the industry is going this route. Security must handled properly but obviously things like this happen.
Shit like this should be blamed on lack of process and guard rails around mission critical changes.
IMO, I think we've had worse...just google when we lost customer data :(. It's pretty rare that we mess up; of all the probably million DB scripts we ran, there was this one. If we could do anything better folks on blind, I'm all ears.
Nah just people enjoying this time it's not their fault...
hopefully you aren't enjoying it oracle, our success is yours :p

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me ‘a look’ because I tipped her 10% for ‘BAD service!’
I heard about this! Apparently security roles were automatically changed to Modify All so everyone could see everyone's records. My understanding is that company data was only exposed to people within the company itself. I wonder what kind of juicy gossip people found out about each other. 🍿🍿
