Yelp is sinking ship
Yoe? What’s title offered?
Updated
My pick is Salesforce
Salesforce has really been trying to improve their compensation recently. That MTS offer is equal to what many SMTS are earning who have been with the company for a while.
Yelp will get you into a top company. They’ll probably sell to a bigger fish in a near future, meanwhile you’ll still be able to tell your friends and family what you’re working on. “Salesf... what? Enterprise what? You mean you work in IT?”
Can tell you from experience this is not true. People don't have difficulty leaving Salesforce for better opportunities in the future.
Oh, the context of what I'm saying is working in tech. Sure I could see how a non-tech role at Salesforce could be perceived differently.
That new guy has no clue what he’s talking about. SFDC has the best WLB, and a phenomenal reputation. Culture is unlike anything I’ve ever heard of (positive). Plus, with 1.5 yoe, you may want to change roles in the future. Easy to do at SF. Less easy at the dumpster fire that is yelp.
Sorry but you're in sales. Salesforce does not have a phenomenal reputation for engineers. It's known for having simple and non interesting products. Also, engineering is not the center focus dept there. But you have a point on WLB.
Salesforce is incredible come here plently of opportunities for innovation as an Engineer. Don't listen to these people^ Incredible WLB and internal job shifting is very easy to do!
Just curious, what TC at Yelp will make it win over Salesforce in this poll ?
Yelps product has been basically the same for years and they cry and blame Google for all their troubles
Even during my interviews there they were complaining
