I got an offer from Samsung Bellevue office for Software Developer role. How is the work culture in Samsung Bellevue office and what compensation should I expect. Is it fine to move from Amazon to Samsung

I am just Wondering.. We all work for money...except few who are passionate for technology.... Amazon has 50000 employees ... In terms of work not everyone is doing awesome or good work. 70% of Amazon is working on operational workload.. Be it retail or aws ... As a developer does it matter if you are working on amazon.com or Samsung.com Everyone knows about Amazon culture.... Why people are afraid of taking a move from Amazon to Samsung... At least in my case ..I work for Amazon..but I am doing operational maintenance in some small team of overall retail.... I am sure work would be better than this in Samsung... I am yet to receive compensation... What is the average that people are getting..it will give me good idea if its competitive... Thanks for your patience and reading long post

Ignore comments about step down etc. A lot of these people are from countries where there was one answer and top college degree guarantees good life. Many of those people believe that but they will later find they wasted much of their time for what does not matter to their life. Some realize it when younger and live a good happy life. I am also from such country so I know well about those people. A lot of people who are old told me how much regret they have for this type of rat race mindset and how meaningless that was. This matters when you live in a country where only a few can have good life but you are living in a country where people less care about going to top college. Many more people put more importance in life quality than pursuing for more recognition. I know many people who got out of Amazon and moved to the companies that are regarded a lot worse than Samsung. So don’t listen to these people. Your health (mental and physical) is impacted significantly and unknowingly by your workplace. Think long term - better yet - work does not define your life.
What will be compensation for senior engineer in Samsung San Diego?
Really? Is it the money which is motivating you? Don't do it. I have worked at Samsung before and their culture sucks. It might be worth staying at Amazon.
