Lost respect for Modiji
Looking to make a move. Currently L65 Eng manager at MSFT, 5 years experience as manager, 10+ as dev. Current TC is around $300k give or take a bit due to variable bonus amount. Can any of these places in Seattle get near/beat that for eng manager roles? Don't want to use up too much time on places that won't even get near that. thanks. - Stripe - Square - Zillow - Dropbox - Airbnb - Lyft - Snapchat - Twitter
All, easily.
Will you still get 300k if MSFT stock doesn't go up anymore? 65 should only get around 250k
Good question, as long as the stock doesn't go any lower I'll be around $270k, so as long as I get on target rewards I should bounce around $300k. Obviously would take each companies bonus and vesting structure into account in my comparisons, but trying to get a feel for what's out there.
300k is pretty much standard senior level comp for most of the CA companies so there are plenty of options
Really? 65 gets 300k TC at MSFT? Always thought it was like 250k.
Sfdc would pay that much too
Really don't have a good handle on salesforce as a place to work, I need to put more effort into background research to see it's a place I might like.
We have a lot of ex msft people in Bellevue. Probably half of the building. They love it here. You can get senior manager or director. Both pay above $300
You can add Tableau
L65 EM at Msft and only 300K?
The target is 250-270k
Seattle and SF pay are on the same scale. So yes, EMs can meet and exceed that TC.
That's below a mid level IC at Lyft. Increase your TC man. I want to be manager with expectations of 500 plus
DB, Snap, Airbnb, Twitter and Lyft all can
I would be shocked if all of those did not reach 300 for an em. Some are in paper money though.
Yeah I would hope so, issue is a lot of the salaries for those places I've seen are for their San Fran locations, so not sure how much they are different in Seattle.
Not very different for Seattle.
