If you ever wondered why Seattle allows hordes of homeless people to live here, this is it. The socialist roaches are already trying to suck votes out of them.

Use your brain. Do you think someone who registers and votes on the same day has taken the time to become educated on the issues and candidates they’re voting for?

Yeah, I don’t want people voting (even if they vote as I do) if they don’t take it seriously.

Lol 99% of the morons that vote don't know shit about shit and if you don't agree you're one of them

Maybe I don’t associate with the same class of morons you do. The people I know take their civic duty very seriously.

How much of the population do you associated with lol

Half the country gets their news from sources that make you less informed than people who get no news at all

What is the alternative to "allowing homeless people to live" exactly?

The vast majority of the “homeless camps” are actually illegal drug camps. There are many housing projects for the sober homeless. If we didn’t allow the lawless homeless to roam free, then more people would feel safe helping the sober homeless. I know I would.

There are tons of sober working homeless especially in high cost cities. You didn't address them other than to just say itll work out? We already know you are down to jail the drug addicts. How will that help? How long will you hold them? Life in jail? Else they will return to the streets right?

Sober working homeless usually have an address, even if it’s not their home. The drug addict homeless trashing our city, spreading dirty needles, and causing rat infestations should probably be jailed in mandatory rehabilitation programs and released after recovery.

It’ll work out for the sober homeless because they’re already getting help via housing and other welfare programs. They’ll eventually find work and get reinserted into society. The ones who can’t get clean simply aren’t going to have a future - could be cycling through jail for compounding periods of time as they commit more crimes to feed their addiction and/or dead from an OD.

Recovery only works if want it to and most relapse. That's the revolving door problem. Not sure what an address had to do with homelessness? The point here was there isn't an easy or obvious solution. Most working homeless are not getting help or waiting years to qualify for low income housing.

Someone they don't like voting = voter fraud. 2/3 of all their voters are senile as f but somehow this is a problem

Sawant will be driving them to voting offices by the truck load over and over again, all day long on election day. She’ll make sure they get multiple votes across all the districts to finish painting the city council red.

I don't like Seattle Dems either but registering bums to vote is probably the least offensive thing I've read about them recently.

We have a socialist that has a city council seat. She will without a doubt promise free everything for the homeless and drug addicts and then get as many of them as possible to vote for whatever socialist agenda she has planned.

These are the same people who say the homeless have “mental health issues”, but now it’s ok to let them all vote? Blue state policies at its finest.

The problem is for guns and voting you need an address. In the case of voting, your address ties you to a precinct, and dictates what local races you can participate in. This is important.

Homeless people do not have an address, proving their identity is harder. District lines are drawn based on population and the lack of an address is a big problem.

This has nothing to do with “liberty” or “partisanship”, it’s getting into the nuts and bolts of how voting works.
