Secrecy around hiring committee and decisions made
why HC looks like some black box where results are so uncertain. Have heard on blind that feedback from panel was great but rejected at HC. What beside feedback they look? Diversity?

It's actually a complex algorithm based mostly on the color of your clothes, your hair and has very little to do with your interview performance. It also consists of some rng for balance purposes. /s if it wasn't obvious.
Based on race / hairstyle they will show subjective secret favoritism.
