Seeking CTO/cofounder for Real-time Social News Platform

4d

I’m looking for a CTO/cofounder to jump in and help build a new fast, simple, open real-time news discussion platform. I have a working product built and live right now, getting ready to start beta testing. Big plans; live messaging/real-time is the future and it’s time for new entrants to enter the market.

I’m in Seattle but you don’t have to be. Must be architect level and knowledgeable on aws/python/pyramid/web sockets/rest api architecture etc.

message me for link / interest cheers

U don't need a CTO. You need a cofounder to help you build the business. You have built the MVP. Now it's time to HIRE a senior engineer and pay him with the money you raised (ex. Seed).

Yes I know there is no seed money yet, but that's why you need the biz person instead of a CTO.

I have done this for one start-up that made it to Techstars.

DM me if you need more help or are open to finding a non-technical cofounder. 🤗

    • Lol 😀 you think a non technical cofounder can help build a real time social news platform. You seem to know everything, including telling others what to do when you don’t know anything about what they’re doing.

Not really. It wasnt my intention to "tell" the op what to do lol. I was sharing my thoughts. There is no "one" recipe for start-ups succeed. I was just sharing my thoughts from my experiences in my involvement in start-ups.

And I didn't oppose the fact that other technical folks wouldn't help the social news platform. I only stated that making them a cofounder isn't necessary. Instead focus efforts on raising money so you can essentially hire technical folks instead of wasting cofounder equity on someone with same skills as the OP.

On the other hand - u added no value to the post. 😁

    • My value to this post is to point out that you ARE telling him what to do when you seem to not really knowing what business he’s building. Maybe you should try to ask questions, and you’ll learn something.

From the way you talk to the things you’re saying, I can tell you’re an amateur who knows nothing about entrepreneurship.

Just re-read my post with your perspective in mind. You're right - it reads as if I am telling OP what to do.

Haha but it wasn't my intention. My intention was to share my thoughts in a general manner (not specific to this post).

    • Re-read your own post. Tell yourself to stop telling people what to do. From the way you talk, it sounds like you’ve never worked in a tech company much less start a tech company.

it’s probably not a common use case but it’s just web sockets after all, so far works well although tbh it was my departed ex-cofounder that chose it (we’re fully leveraged on aws so it made some sense)
