Selling shares from startup on the secondary market

Anyone have any experience with this? I want to unload my equity ASAP but don't even know where to start.

Sounds desperate. Why do you want to do this?

Your shares from your current company?

SharesPost used to do this, not sure if they still do.

Use equityzen

If you do it without approval they will probably show you the door. Companies don’t like randos owning / accumulating their private stock. Also watch out for super high fees, no joke. But check out EquityZen as others have stated.

Equity zen is your best bet. Which company are you trying to offload ? Even though you list on Equityzen, your company needs to approve it. I use Equityzen to buy and they charge 5% fees for buying. I’m not sure on the selling aspect.

Are you accredited investor? Can you fake being an accredited investor?

ServiceNow pk2403 Oct 24, 2018

I’m an accredited investor. You can’t fake being an accredited investor(Legal challenges and fines etc.,). For selling I don’t think you need to be an accredited investor. Check with EquityZen.
