What is the expected salary (approx) for semiconductors PhD + 6 years of experience in Bay Area? I am expecting an offer soon and am trying to get a baseline.

Quote an insanely high number. Get the recruiter to quote something first and ask for at least 50K more and double the RSUs. They lowball semiconductor engineers like anything. You deserve way better than whatever they'll quote. Don't be shy.
I’m hoping to be at Principal engineer or slightly higher level (IC5 in Apple terms?). I had a base salary of 140K about 5 years ago when I joined a start up, now only a little bit higher. And I would have to shell out ~600K to buy out my stock options (if I want to). What would be reasonable total package for me to even consider moving ?
Thanks btw. This is my first time on Blind.
