Senior SWE @ LinkedIn?
What’s the typical YoE for a Senior SWE at LinkedIn? Looking to make a change after 1 internship + ~1.5 years as a SWE. I’d be applying for L4 positions everywhere else, so it feels weird applying to just a regular SWE position at LinkedIn...

It depends. I’ve seen people with 0-8yrs exp hired as swe. And 2-10+yrs for senior. The tc range for senior offers lately seems to be around 270k. I know of one who got 310k with competing offers. Swe seems to be around 200, going up to 240-250 with strong negotiation. The skill, exp, and tc gaps are wide in the bands.

You don’t meet the business qualifications for Senior if you don’t have at least two years of experience so you may be rejected by the recruiting team
