Senior Tech PM at Microsoft vs Amazon?
awaiting offer from both of them in seattle. what should i expect in terms of salary? any ideas? interviews went well but need to tell recruiter expectations.
Microsoft 63 and amazon L5.. they kept referring it as senior TPM so not sure about the leveling. Have a call with recruiters next week. Presuming I’m getting offer from both.
Tpm at amazon= technical program manager . Pmt = product manager technical. Very different roles. Just be clear on what you're getting into
L5 at Amazon is not a “senior”. Title would just be TPM. A Sr TPM is level 6. Can be a pretty big comp difference between the two roles.
I've never heard of a tech PM at Microsoft.
At Microsoft it’s a PM role in engineering org so I’m presuming I’ll be paid better than a PM in business org. That’s why mentioned tech PM

Then you’re definitely higher than L5 (they hire uni grads for L5, I know a few)- Dont sell yourself short
