Separate L1, L2 visa appointment

If I and my wife arrange 2 separate visa appointments (few weeks apart) with the embassy, would it be problem? Wonder if embassy will question us why we dont apply together? will it be viewed as kind of red flag? The reason is because my wife need to finish her job (she is currently in another country) while I want to secure a Visa early to finish the paperwork needed (at my current job + cancel contract, etc ) before we both move to America.
