Hi, How much options should one expect from a series F startup worth 2b and 200m funding? Going to be employee #250 ish for a senior tech role (director type) reporting to VP. The options are not RSUs like Uber or Airbnb. TC: ~600 (b4 2019 refreshers and raise), M2 level

Are you asking how many shares or what percent of company you want? The former, depends on outstanding shares of course, the latter, not much. You already mentioned your TC, isn’t that enough of an answer?
In terms of outstanding shares, what percentage is reasonable? .25-.5-1%? Regarding my current, we are talking about RSU vs options. They are different. The current comp at Uber should not be equivalent of the current comp at a startup which offers options vs a public company. Should it?
Series F is a pretty mature startup with I imagine market fit and lots of traction, not too different from Uber and Airbnb. So while they are giving options, the only real difference would be more beneficial tax treatment for you. I’m thinking M2 level is 0.1%, that’s about $1m over 4 in stock right?
