I haven’t logged into my account for a year and since then I have moved to a new country.
- My phone nr has changed
- My credit card nr has changed
I still remember my password, my email, and everything else that should verify that this is my fucking account.
But to be able to verify my new device I have to have access to both my old phone nr and my old credit card nr.
And I can’t contact support through my account before I have verified this information.
EDIT: Sent a private message to the Facebook page and they gave me access to the account in 5 minutes!
Seriously Airbnb? I guess you’re all good and an attractive workplace for a reason!
- Airbnb jhevsuhehd@OP There's a link in that modal that says "I need help", you can fill that out and get unblocked within a few hours. Does that not work for you?
- FWIW - If it's not clear that's what you're supposed to click in this situation, there's a real trade-off: make it prominent and everyone requests manual support, even when they do have phone access, or make it a less obvious link and some people miss it. Generally it costs us far more in wasted customer time when it's prominent.
