Tiktok ban still unlikely?
Most luxury apartments in Seattle dont have ac.. apparently seattle doesn't get that hot. Yeah that's right cause looks like everyone else around me seem to feel no heat at all....what a bud load of crap.. Not paying 2500 for an apartment without ac, fuck this shit
Just buy a portable ac?
Most luxury ones do come with AC.
For 2500, you'll get an apartment with ac easily. I think you meant 1500
Get a couple of fans, if the fan doesn’t cool enough get a portable ac
Its only hot in seattle 2 weeks out of the year... relax.
Don’t forget the 2 weeks of smoke
Dumb comment of the year. It was hot for a solid 3 months straight both last year and the year before. May was unusually hot this year, and we still have 2 months of summer to go. Not everyone lives in an east facing basement like you.
WTF
I’d take living in a house with fans at 75 degrees in Seattle instead of in Arizona (where I briefly lived) with a $600/month electricity bill for the AC.
What about the humidity though? Cool air is awesome, but dry air is just as great.
Rule #1. Don’t rent if the property doesn’t have 1) in unit washer/dryer 2) a/c.
If you do end up somewhere without ac make sure it has good airflow. Lots of new apartments don’t since they only have windows on one side. That’s the real problem. in apartments like those it starts to get hot inside even when it’s like 65° out
Check out AirKing whole house window fan. It's like $150 on Amazon.
For rental apartments you pretty much only get AC in new high rises in Seattle unfortunately. Portable AC units are pretty common too. Be warned that many places ban window AC units or they won’t fit in the windows though.
