Asking for a friend - Anyone familiar with the drug screen process at ServiceNow? Marijuana is legal in the state I reside so.... .
They have government contracts and do test. But my friend smokes weekly and passed (or at least got the job).
Ya...For a friend lol. Servicenow does conduct a drug test during the hiring process. My guess is that they are looking for opiates or something harder as I’m pretty sure half of the developers get High. . . I kid. I kid.
Doesn’t matter if a state approves marijuana you’ll be fired to being on drugs and jeopardizing your employer and being a legal liability. Not sure how medical marijuana is handled but can imagine there are strict guidelines as it’s not federally legal.
Yep there is a routine drug test. They also let you choose a date to schedule it.
If I remember correctly, marijuana is not something that you are been test for. It’s more for heavy drugs
And Marijuana is not federally legal.
They test as a way to ensure you don’t have a greater problem. If you have a medical reason they will not inhibit employment (provided evidence) if you are only using recreationally the idea is that you have the power to quit long enough to test clean.
They ask for a urine test. It’s done at a lab and Has to be done within 3 days of submitting your information for the background check. They do test for THC as well as harder drugs. All I know is it’s a class 5 test or something like that. I have been told people have lost offers because of THC. You can buy over the counter drug tests if you want to see if you’ll pass.
For which position or is it for all positions?
All positions. I think it’s because they have government contacts and need to follow federal guidelines for all employees.
Yeah I can second that up there by KsnrjSk. You get screened for everything, regardless of whether marijuana is legal. But it's only a one time thing. Once you're in, you won't ever get tested. All because the government is one of their biggest (if not the biggest) customer.
No drug tests at oracle
