I am a 4'9 petite 35F weight 127lbs. I struggle with looking lean and my problem area has always been my stomach area. It stresses me out that despite putting in 10+ hrs in the gym in a week I don't see desired results on the body. Other than a visual challenge, my stamina has improved, my endurance has improved and can see muscles; I can tell I haven't been this fit even in my 20's. It's almost like, I can gain weight swallowing air. Due to my lack of height, even 0.5 lbs makes a difference, I weight 127 currently, but I can tell I am muscular, I want to be fit. But how can I lose weight to get more lean? Update 1: For everyone saying diet, I mostly eat clean. I ocassionally cheat and I have taken measures to reduce my sugar intake which is my weakness. I understand the 80/20 - diet/workout ratio. But I feel even little cheating is not allowed considering my petite self :( Other shorties out here? Any tips for me? P.S I envy the tall people
The most unhealthy thing you're doing is worrying so much about it.
Just that my ROI is not good. Not worrying, just trying to assess what's going wrong
Abs are made in the kitchen. Not the gym.
From my experience you can lose weight only when your diet is controlled and gym.
I’m a male who’s much taller than you but I always carried weight in my stomach. I’ve always been pretty muscular but I really had to adjust my diet and actually get lean before I was able to really reduce my stomach size. Filling up on lots of veggies instead of simple carbs helps a lot too.
Opposite problem, 5-15lbs of muscle gained over the summer don’t even register on my body 🤦♂️
Food diet matters a lot. Have a proper diet. In my opinion, if you want loose weight, food diet plays a major role than workout.
Please remember that the stomach is the last place you lose weight from. Your legs, thighs butt, shoulder and arms get toned well, but adbomen takes a very long time. Diet plays a direct role in this. Be patient and chug along.
Just cut out all sugar, literally. That is the single cheapest and easiest way to a flatter midriff No soda period. Coffee with just cream and no sugar
No cream on the coffee either. Soy milk or almond milk. Cream is loads of fat and empty calories
I went dairy free; so switched to almond milk. Sugar is my weakness, I have gotten very strict on it, don't take it with tea/coffee.
I have a similar issue, although I'm 5'4. My thighs and stomach are the hardest areas to see progress on. I had to kick my workouts up a notch (HIIT and tabata vs. just plain old cardio like running) and commit to more weight training. I also started eating way better. I don't eat out as much as I used to because it's really difficult to have a healthy meal in a restaurant. There's always more butter oil and sauce than you'd use at home, and I refuse to pay good money for something I can easily make at home (like salads or sauteed veggies). I also cut back on drinking, and when I do drink, I make sure to account for those calories and adjust my meals/exercise plan accordingly.
It’s not weight and not the amount of time you put in the gym. Wrong formula. It’s all about what you eat/drink, when and how much of it.
Can you throw more light on the the When part?
What do you eat???
