I am currently looking for a new role, so, I am mass applying to companies. As a result, I need to set up ~(5-8) recruiter screens per week, which last ~(15-30) minutes each. I kind of feel bad for spending an hour per workday chatting with recruiters about positions at different companies, instead of working. Should I feel bad or stop doing this? If I stop, how/when should I schedule calls with recruiters?
It's normal to take lunch breaks and other small breaks during the day, for example smoking breaks or bathroom breaks, so in moderation I wouldn't worry. If you're scheduling a ton of them, you can of course work a little late or do some work in the evenings if it will help you feel like you're being more fair to your employer.
As long as it’s on your own time (lunch or break) then you’re fine. Most recruiters aren’t free on the weekends but you can consider scheduling phone interviews on a day you requested off.
Thanks! Good idea, I have been saving my days off for on-sites and technical phone interviews, but I suppose I can schedule all the recruiter screens on one day and take that day off.
Nope. So it all the time
Nope, don’t feel bad. Schedule ur interviews, but also stretch a little and complete the work assigned to you.
No, this is normal and expected.

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me ‘a look’ because I tipped her 10% for ‘BAD service!’
