Base : 17 LPA
Sign on bonus - First year : 7.7 L
Sign on bonus - Second year : 5.3 L
RSU : 20 L (5%, 15%, 40%)

HR says he is not open to negotiation and the numbers are final. Hiring manager says I can only talk to HR and he has no say on the package. HR doesn't want to tell me the level i'm being hired for. Looks totally low balled and ill treated.

I have a Microsoft offer coming up in a week but the amazon HR wants me to accept/decline offer in a day and give me a joining asap. Amazon interview took almost 6 months to complete and now he is rushing up like this.

What should I do? Super confused.

    That's usual trick of HR. Just be confident and say that you need more time. Also it's not worth leaving unicorn start-up in a hurry. Take your tome. All the best. Let us know your story a week later.

      It shouldn’t be about either, simple switching economics 1.5 lac extra is about 10k more per month after tax .It’s not worth it, plus you are still early in your career, you will learn more and grow faster at the startup. IMHO you should start making money based decisions when a) circumstances in your life demand it b) you are n the other side of 40 . In all other cases make growth based decisions with your long term vision alignment

      Companies take prior work experience into account, not education given your YOE.

      @cherokeeto - college offers have much larger stock component to confuse and attract students. They won't earn the same stock award for the next few years in the same company.
