Hi all , I recently got an offer to join medallia. My only attraction to join Medallia is the hope that the stock options will be worth something when it goes public or get bought by some other company. I know nobody can predict the future but would love to get some insider scoop. How positove are things looking for medallia in that context? They have raised quite a bit of money. Hence when the liquidation happens, all the investors will get paid first before a latecomer like me makes any decent money. Etc ....
Small input but Qualtrics is ranked higher than Medallia and we've been taking a lot of customers from there.
But Qualtrics is frugal at giving stock or even annual bonus. Vacation seems pitiful as it combined with sick days. I liked the people but had to decline due to low offer.
I agree. We do pay lower than most companies in Seattle at least. Company is growing fast and is changing to accommodate employees. A lot of their rules have changed for the better since I joined 2 yrs ago but i liked it still due to fast pace and seeing company grow this fast.
Worked as contractor shortly there couple years ago, people were nice, but the entire team I worked with, including manager and VP are not there anymore. Not sure if this imply something
I’m enjoying being here and am planning to stay until at least ipo. depending on the department you’re joining the answer will differ. FWIW I’m in engineering
There's a lot of interesting things happening in engineering. Culture is very chill and not much different from different start-ups I've worked at. Office space is brand new. My only annoyance is the quality of the catered lunches. Yuck!
If you’re looking for a get rich quick scheme you should invest in crypto
I'm in Sales, and it's very lucrative now. I think our culture (sales and hippy hq) are both very refreshing.
I am in engineering and I am having fun. I came from one of the big companies in the bay area and it is refreshing to be in a fast paced, fun loving environment. I joined as i felt this company would go IPO soonish and so far I am happy. If the role is interesting to you and you liked the people you spoke to, come over. I am sure you will enjoy it more than PayPal.
They’ve been selling the IPO dream for a long time. My wife started there in 2010 and finally got fed up with their shit (upper management). I’m still optimistic about IPO but every year it’s the same story. I wonder how long until Sequioa puts the pressure on
Wherever I may roam , everything Fade to Black; it’s Sad but True, but Nothing Else Matters. But Don’t tread of me, the Struggle within is Blackened...and Justice for all is non existent, Until it sleeps and I disappear.
