If a recruiter asks which company gave you a competing offer should you share it with them?
Name is important. For example Google will care less if it’s a unicorn startup but care more for FB. So depending on how you want to play your cards name can be important for negotiations.
I had two offers and I negotiated up with one company by just stating the details of the competing offer without disclosing the name of the company. They took me for my word. I guess it depends on how honest you come across as.
They shouldn’t be asking current salary or offers proof according to new law.
