You know the oldest profession...
Find companies that offer year long paternity leave. Join one, have your wife get pregnant. "Take a year off" During that year, join another company that offers year long paternity leave. Repeat the process, except this time claiming paternity leave a second time at the first job. Keep repeating this process, stacking up more and more jobs, and keep rolling out babies. The ultimate side hustle
yo, I'm crying. this is crazily funny!
Scales great with distributed scale-out (multiple wives), even with multi regional replication for disaster readiness. Brilliant. Salesforce, you have my upvote.
What type of Hustle? Risk tolerance?
Consulting, personal finance if you feel qualified
How does one go about consulting without working for a large corporation?
You need to be seen as expert in your field. If your title and reputation proceed you, that's great. If not, establish yourself as a thought leader by writing LinkedIn posts, volunteering with non profits, etc. Regardless, know why you're an expert in that field and what precisely you can help someone achieve. Know what you're worth on an hourly basis. Then network, go to after work functions, but also reach out to your target audience. Maybe that's early stage startups or maybe it's hedge funds. Cold call, warm call, inMail, etc. For a side hustle, get one or two happy clients and referrals usually lead to more than enough business. Track your expenses and make sure you file that schedule C!
Be less prudential and more finance
