Interviewer was furiously taking notes while I was talking/whiteboarding (I was doing a PM interview at a FAANG.) what should I be paranoid about in terms of body language, signs it went well vs. didn’t TC 160
If they were furiously taking notes, all it means is that they like to furiously take notes. But seriously speaking, there is this strong gut feeling you get at the end of a good interview - from the way the interview ends, how they spoke to you, their body language, etc.
I've definitely had that go wrong before though. And interviewed many folks who clearly thought they had done well when they hadn't. It requires a level of competency to properly assess yourself ... if that is missing I think your gut could lead you astray.
True, I guess it’s not worth overthinking every detail. I had the same feeling I had when I ended the second round, so I guess that’s a good indicator more or less
No way to know because you don’t know what that person is like in different situations.
I take a lot of notes while interviewing candidates. That’s only because I take a lot of interviews and I try to write down as many details as possible so I can remember clearly.
Super helpful, thanks!
If he suddenly stops taking notes and starts asking about your favorite bug then maybe that's a bad sign, otherwise who knows.
You should have peed on him to show dominance.
