Got an offer from Grab Singapore that pays $240k cash a year as well as $80k in rsu every year. (all numbers in Singapore dollars). thoughts on company? thoughts on rsu valuation upside? thoughts on this compensation in Singapore?
Not a bad deal considering you will only pay 15% income tax.
they mentioned grade 6 (senior software engineering mgr) i think. 10 years of total experience
It is good offer at your experience level. Tax would be around 9% but if you are US citizen or GC holder, then factor in US tax (- 9% SG tax) for amount above USD100K
Grab is definitely growing rapidly, but heard there's no worklife balance in their Asian office. Anyone got insights about their Seattle team?
There is no work life balance in any of the East Asian countries. Hope OP is aware of it
Work life balance really depends on the company and team. At managerial level, one should be able to build right kind of culture for the team
You mean your total comp will be around 1.5 crore INR , with just 15% tax are you sure ????
not sure what crore is. but yes these are real numbers
I mean if you compare to US dollars it's around 280$ approx,
Then why any one will go to USA ??
ask for more cash, less paper
I hope you don’t like chewing gum
Are you > 40? I thought the young ones wouldn’t know this reference
So cute
This sounds interesting. I’ve had international on my mind now for a few years. Thanks for sharing this info.
What level?
