    240K Sgd is not much. 1BR is 4K sgd a month. 2BR is 6K sgd. 3br-4br is 8K sgd.

240K. You’ll pay maybe 12% blended tax so your take home is 210ish.

    Your rent. 6K a month. That’s 72K a year in rent.

140K left. Hmmm. Are you American ? You’ll have to pay expat tax.

I guess it’s ok but Sg isn’t cheap. Everything is double us prices. If you have kids, schools are ridiculous.

2.6k is not condo? Downgrade? American standards? No you are absolutely right, you don’t sound snobby at all. You just sound like a DIMWIT! 😂

2.6K sgd is like 1.9K usd. I lived in Singapore for 6 years. 2 BR places in nice areas were 5-6K sgd

Ok, so you lived in Singapore for 6 years and think the only nice areas are in CBD and everything outside is below American standards? Cool. Good for you.

Not a bad deal considering you will only pay 15% income tax.

Work life balance really depends on the company and team. At managerial level, one should be able to build right kind of culture for the team
