Anyone knows how to negotiate with LinkedIn recruiters to skip the phone screen and directly come to onsite? I’ve done two phone interviews for internship role 3 years ago, and get an offer but didn’t end up going to LinkedIn, does this help? 1.5 YOE 220K TC
But why do you want to skip it ?
low quality communication channel due to unclear audio and lack of visuals, possibility of getting rejected
I skipped the PS for my current job. They are mostly a waste of time for everyone involved and there’s the risk you get a bad interviewer. Why take that risk if you can avoid?
Does any company let you skip phone screens? Under what scenario?
Google does allow skip phone screen very often, e.g. - if you have competing offers and deadlines - you’re currently from a prestigious company, I have a few FB colleagues Google let them directly come to onsite - if you’re local to their site and don’t need any transportation support
Do you ask the recruiter if you can skip phone screen?
Has anyone ever asked a recruiter if they can skip phone screen
How are you prepping? lC ?
you can ask to have an onsite phone screening. It's very common that people want to come onsite even for initial screening.
Do they honor this if the candidate has to be flown in ? I assume its for in-station candidates?
no i don't think so if you're not local unless you want to handle tickets and flight on your own. but even the phone screening is in fact video conference call so not a big deal.
I got a referral from a Bigshot researcher (at CMU) for FRL. skipped the phone screen and went to onsite directly

Nope they are still going to want to phone screen. The PS is more about determining if your experience and the job role line up
I mean the coding screen, not recruiter screen.
